FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A few questions that we're usually asked...
Q; Are we licensed to fly a drone?
A: Yes, Jerry is. Since he was already a licensed general aviation pilot, he already possessed the basic aviation knowledge that is needed to pass the FAA course for becoming a small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) pilot, called the “remote pilot certificate with a small UAS rating.” In studying and passing the sUAS test he was issued his Remote Pilot Certificate.
Q: How high can you fly that thing?
A: Legally you can fly up to 400 feet where permitted. There are situations were you can fly higher, and other instances where you must fly lower, it all depends on the Federal Airspace in which you are flying. We've been flying for many years and understand the FARs; Federal Aviation Regulations.
